Introduction
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has moved beyond being just an innovation topic to becoming a strategic part of the daily operations of Brazilian companies. In a global scenario of rapid technological evolution, understanding how organizations in Brazil are adopting and planning to use AI is essential to maintain competitiveness and anticipate trends.
After the success of the first edition in 2024, which mapped for the first time the use of Generative AI in the country, the 2nd edition of the “Landscape of Artificial Intelligence in Brazil”, led by Zappts, brings an even broader view: beyond Generative AI, we explore the use of AI in a more comprehensive sense, covering everything from automations to advanced applications in different business areas.
The results show clear advances — such as the increase in the percentage of companies already using AI in a structured way —, but also reinforce challenges that remained or grew since last year, such as team training and governance definition.

Concepts
While the first edition focused exclusively on Generative AI, this year the study covers the AI ecosystem as a whole, allowing a more comprehensive reading of the opportunities and barriers in Brazil.
Generative AI continues to stand out for its ability to create content and innovative solutions, but other AI branches — such as predictive analysis, natural language processing, computer vision, and intelligent automation — are gaining space in corporate planning.
The study reveals that, compared to 2024:
- More companies are using combinations of different AI technologies, not just a single solution.
- AI usage in operations and customer service has grown, while marketing, which led last year, maintained a strong presence but lost its exclusivity as the main application area.
- Governance and ethics emerge with more weight in discussions, reflecting the growing maturity on the topic.
Research Objectives
Primary objective
Map the current state and future prospects of AI adoption in Brazil, considering sectors of activity, company size, usage maturity, and expectations for the coming years.
Secondary objectives
- Identify challenges and barriers in adoption: integration with legacy systems, professional qualification, security, and compliance.
- Evaluate usage maturity: frequency, areas involved, and experience time.
- Explore impacts on the workforce: requalification, creation, and extinction of roles.
- Map the most adopted solutions and suppliers.
- Analyze perceived benefits: efficiency gains, innovation, and cost reduction.
- Collect future expectations: technological trends, investments, and ethical concerns.
Importance for IT and business leaders
Strategic vision
Just like in the 1st edition, the study works as a market thermometer, but now with greater depth. It helps leaders understand where they stand in relation to the market, which sectors are advancing faster, and where there is room for innovation.
Identification of trends and challenges
In comparison with last year:
- There was an increase in the number of companies with regular AI usage.
- Integration challenges and lack of qualified workforce persist, although more companies are investing in internal training programs.
- Concern about regulatory issues increased, aligned with legislative movements in Brazil and abroad.
Benchmarking and innovation
The report allows companies to compare their efforts and realize where they are ahead or behind in relation to the market, encouraging strategic adjustments.
Benefits of reading the study
- Access to unpublished and comparative data between the 1st and 2nd editions.
- Understanding the priorities and pain points of Brazilian companies in different sectors.
- Basis for strategic decisions in technology, innovation, and talent management.
- Inspiration for new projects and partnerships in the AI ecosystem.
Conclusion
The 2nd edition of the “Landscape of Artificial Intelligence in Brazil” confirms that AI is already a reality in the country, but the path to full maturity still requires investments, strategic vision, and collaboration between business and technology areas.
For leaders and companies, the study is an opportunity to understand the current scenario, learn from advances in other sectors, and anticipate movements that will define the future of AI in Brazil.
