Artificial Intelligence is no longer a distant promise but has become the main efficiency driver in Brazilian companies. But as the initial excitement with Generative AI settles, the “bill” of implementation starts to arrive.
Last year, the 2nd edition of our research, the AI Panorama in Brazil 2025, revealed a scenario of transition. We saw that companies understood the technology’s potential (with 74.1% pointing to operational efficiency improvement as the greatest benefit), but they ran into severe structural barriers.
The 2025 data was a true “reality check”:
- Lack of Governance: A staggering 51.6% of Brazilian companies operated without any formalized AI governance policy or framework.
- The Legacy Pain: For 50% of organizations, integrating AI with legacy systems was the main technological challenge.
- The Human Bottleneck: 60.5% of companies pointed to lack of internal skills as the greatest organizational barrier to technology adoption.
The conclusion was clear: doing isolated “proofs of concept” (PoCs) is easy; scaling AI connected to the business core, with governance and security, is the real challenge.
2026: The Year of Agentic Transformation
If in 2024 and 2025 the market focused on “Copilots” (assistants that generate text or code on demand), 2026 marks the entry into the Era of AI Agents.
We are talking about autonomous systems capable of planning steps, accessing multiple systems and executing entire end-to-end processes, with minimal human intervention. It is no longer just about gaining individual productivity, but about automating complex operations in backoffice, finance, supply chain and customer service.
However, with great autonomy comes great risk. The decentralization of technology is generating the phenomenon of “Shadow AI”: business areas creating their own agents in low-code tools (like n8n), leaving IT blind regarding token billing costs, code versioning and, mainly, information security.
It is precisely to map this new frontier that Zappts launches the 3rd edition of our research: the AI Panorama in Brazil 2026 – The Year of AI Agents.
Why is your participation essential?
In this edition, we go beyond generic questions. We want to understand how Brazilian IT and Innovation leaders are dealing with the scalability of agentic architecture, the migration to pro-code (like LangGraph and CrewAI), the use of AI Gateways and the real impacts on headcount and budgets.
By dedicating about 8 to 10 minutes to answer the survey, you guarantee:
- Exclusive Strategic Benchmarking: Receive the complete report first-hand. Use data from hundreds of other corporations to support and defend your budgets and architecture decisions with the board.
- Trend Mapping: Discover if your company is ahead of the curve or falling behind in AI adoption compared to your competitors.
- Ecosystem Fostering: Your perspective helps consolidate a faithful portrait of the country’s technological maturity, guiding the market on the real challenges and opportunities of AI in Brazil.
The gap between companies that adopt AI at the core of the business and those that only run peripheral tests is widening exponentially. Don’t leave your strategy in the dark.
